CRIT Maroc recruits for its client, based on the Tangier Med area, an Oil Analysis Engineer (H/F).

Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing laboratory analysis (oil testing) for Lubricant or Hydraulic oil
  • Providing technical support and training for oil testing to technicians in the company locally (if required).
  • Managing laboratory data for all companies locations.
  • Communicates any problems, discrepancies or other noteworthy incidents to the CBM/PdM Supervisor without delay.
  • Read and check the data on the oil type and machine type for accuracy.
  • Conduct Oil Analysis for Fluid Properties, Contamination, Water Debris, and Wear Rate.
  • Verify elemental wear data and compare to reference and trended data. Use a wear debris atlas to match elements to their possible source.
  • Verify elemental contamination data along with particle counts and compare with reference and trended data. Use a wear debris atlas to match elements to their possible source.
  • Check moisture/water levels and compare to reference and trended data.
  • Verify the acid number and base number and compare to reference and trended data.
  • Check other analyzed data such as oxidation levels, flash point, demulsibility, analytical ferrography, etc.
  • Compare any groups of data that are trending toward unacceptable levels and make justifications based on these trends.
  • Setting standard alarm limits and make adjustments based on the new information.
  • Supports and participates in CBM/PdM programs and meetings
  • Interpret an oil analysis reports from commercial laboratories, highlight any discrepancy and share it with all concerned parties.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity in all business dealings

Profil recherché

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Engineering is required.
  • 3 years extensive industry experience with oil testing methods, including ICP metals analysis, high temperature simulation, and other methods commonly used analysis of oil samples.
  • Able to deal with Fourier Transformation Infrared Spectroscopy FTIR instruments, Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES), and Particle counting instruments.
  • Knowledge of ISO 4406, or NAS 1638 standards.
  • Laboratory Information Management Systems experience, and Statistical Quality Control SQC experience in a laboratory is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Particle Quantifier PQ Index, and Oil Addictive (Anti-Wear, Anti-Rust, Anti- Oxidation, …etc).
  • Knowledge of Oil Testing methods (Part counts, Ferrography, Spectrum Oil Analysis Program SOAP, Inductively Coupled Plasma ICP, …etc).
  • Knowledge of Lubricating Oil Sensors, CBM/PdM, and IoT technology.
  • Knowledge of Weibull Analysis, and P-F curve is a plus.
  • Possess a strong commitment to personal and job safety.
  • Must possess basic computer skills and proficient in MS Office applications including spreadsheet and word processing.
  • Good verbal/written communication skills in English, decision making skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Must be accountable and self-driven to learn, and to continuously develop and improve his/her skills through both formalized and on the job training.
